Director of Development Kel McConaughey comes to NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio with more than a decade of nonprofit executive leadership experience in fundraising, grants, events, and volunteer management. Previously she worked in areas of social justice, housing, food access, and community development. Kel also served in the Peace Corps in The Gambia from 2005-2007. Originally from Canton, Ohio, Kel has resided in central Ohio since 2017. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The Ohio State University.
Field Organizer Ariana Ybarra joins NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio with a background in non-profit social media management and digital organizing. As an undergraduate, Ariana developed a passion for reproductive rights, health, and justice, serving as a student organizer with URGE. Ariana studied English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Ohio University, earned her B.A. degree in December 2017, and was awarded for her on-campus feminist activism by Ohio University’s WGSS department. After graduation, she continued to volunteer with reproductive rights and justice organizations. Outside of her work with NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, Ariana is a dedicated housing and tenants’ rights organizer. She lives in Columbus with her partner and their pet rabbit.
NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio is committed to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding a full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.
