Internships

Pro-Choice Ohio’s internship program will be paused for Spring 2023; we will not be accepting applications until late spring for our Summer 2023 cohort. Our website will be updated as we have more information to share about dates and details.

Are you looking for a way to get more involved in the movement for reproductive freedom? Do you believe that abortion care should be safe and accessible? Are you down to take on important projects, ask questions, and learn a lot?

Sounds like you might want to apply for an internship with Pro-Choice Ohio!

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and pro-abortion interns to join us on the front lines. At Pro-Choice Ohio, our interns are a vital part of our team and often participate in a wide range of activities from policy and legislative research, to media relations, to grassroots organizing out in the community. Those interested in political processes, non-profit experience, and reproductive health, rights, and justice are encouraged to apply.

NEW for Fall 2022: Though our intern roles are primarily community organizing-based, we are specifically hiring this semester for a Development and Fundraising intern out of our Columbus office. If your strengths and interests include: social media content creation, event logistics, data management and talking to community members about abortion access, we want to hear from you! Please note Development Intern in your email subject line when you apply.

——

There are three basic semesters for our positions: spring, summer, and fall/winter, all running approximately 15 weeks. Our internships are part-time, flexible, and paid; each intern will receive $15 an hour. Applicants must be 18+ to apply.

Currently, internships at Pro-Choice Ohio operate in a hybrid fashion, with situational exceptions, and interns should anticipate having both remote and in-person responsibilities. That said, we will continue monitoring statewide trends of COVID-19 to adjust accordingly where needed and interns will always have the right to decline in-person participation according to their comfort. We will not be accepting out-of-state applications at this time.

To apply:

Complete this application and email it along with a copy of your resume to the office that corresponds best with your location within Ohio. You also may be asked for a writing sample at some point within the interview process.

That candidate may be one who comes from a background less traditional to our field of work, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.
