Columbus — Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Mary Wiseman issued a ruled against Women’s Med Center. The clinic has 30 days to appeal.
NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio Executive Director Kellie Copeland said: “Women’s Med Center is a critical health care resource for not just Southwest Ohio but for the entire tri-state area. The most important thing for the community to know is that the clinic will remain open as it researches its appeal options. Mike DeWine continues to use the office of the Attorney General to attack abortion providers and the women who rely on them. His actions are shameful. DeWine’s case against the clinic relies on medically-unnecessary regulations, passed by anti-choice politicians more interested in scoring political points than protecting the healthcare of our citizens. These regulations do not impact quality of care, their sole purpose is to block patients from accessing the abortion care they need.”
